About

The Event Centre VŠE have traditionally organized the VŠE Ball for you since 2010. Every year, more than 3,500 guests – students, graduates, employees, school partners and their friends – take part in the Ball. Together we create one of the largest balls in Europe. Just like in previous years, this year you can expect an amazing entertainment in the form of great music, dance and orchestra. At the same time, you can look forward to the performances of the best participants in the VŠE Talent competition and the announcement of the VŠE Athlete of the Year.

This year’s VŠE Ball in Grease movie style will transport you to the world of rock’n’roll and rebellious elegance of late 1950s. Get ready for an evening full of nostalgia, where you’ll transform into the stars of Rydell High School. Stylish hairstyles and retro dresses will be in full display. Experience a night filled with dancing, fun, and romance, where you’ll feel like Danny and Sandy at the height of their high school romance.

VŠE BALL 2024: December 3, Lucerna Palace

Tickets will be available in the week of  November 18 – 22 by the canteen in Italská building, Žižkov campus from 9:00 a.m. till 4:30 p.m.

Jižní Město campus: available on November 20 from 9:00 a.m. till 1:30 p.m.

GOLD TICKETS

Tickets are available until sold out on the Ticketportal website.

What is the difference between Standard and Gold tickets?

• Standard Ticket: This ticket is for standing and includes entry to the VŠE Ball and the Afterparty.
• Gold Ticket: This ticket is for seating and includes entry to the VŠE Ball and the Afterparty.

Dresscode

If you’re unsure how to dress for this year’s VŠE Ball in the style of the movie Grease, we have some advice below: Ladies, go for a dress with a flared skirt that falls below the knee, something colorful, ideally with polka dots or another retro pattern. Accessories are also essential: think waist belts, hair scarves, and elegant gloves. To complete the look, don’t forget a stylish hairstyle from the ‘50s and ‘60s – teased, voluminous hair is ideal. You can pair the outfit with any pumps or ballet flats.

Gentlemen, choose a colorful shirt, ideally in a pastel shade like light blue, light pink, or pale yellow. Pair the shirt with a tie or bow tie, optionally in a retro pattern. You can combine this with elegant trousers and a blazer. This time, hairstyle is also crucial for men, so don’t forget to slick back your hair with gel or style a quiff. Finish the look with simple, elegant lace-up shoes or loafers.

There are 3 halls where you can enjoy the VŠE ball. They are:

1. Grand Hall – the biggest
2. Music Bar – party zone
3. Restaurant – chill out zone

There are two passages leading from the Grand Hall to the Music Bar, located on the first and second balconies of the Grand Hall in the left corner behind the stage.

Connection between Music Bar and Restaurant
The entrance to the restaurant can be found after going down a short stairs from the dressing room in the Music Bar.

A great video disco where everyone will have a great time and will see all the clips for the music playing on the screen. We also have a cameraman at the Music Bar, so maybe you’ll be the star of the big screen while dancing 🙂

9:00 PM Athlete VŠE

11 PM VŠE Talent (1st, 2nd and 3rd place)

The best three acts of talent will perform their art and then the winner will be announced.

The legendary VŠE CREW is once again preparing entertainment in which the entire hall can participate. Dance with them and look at the super costumes of this cool party.

Contest Talent VŠE

VŠE has thousands of students, alumni and teachers. There are successful sportsmen, dancers, musicians, comedians and others among them. The aim of this competitions id to appreciate talents that are hidden due to the focus and nature of VŠE.

The competition takes place in three rounds, where the final round is held as part of the VŠE Ball in Prague Lucerna.

Participants can perform at various prominent events throughout the year: Majáles, Events of Česká Spořitelna, Alumni Evening etc.

Looking back at the last event

The Representative Ball 2023 was traditionally held in Lucerna Palace. More than 3,500 students from all faculties, employees, graduates and friends of the Prague University of Economics and Business attended the Ball.

The program of the ball included the annual announcement of the winners of the VŠE Talent competition and VŠE Athlete. Not only future promising economists, statisticians, accountants or entrepreneurs and diplomats, but also young people talented for art or sport study at the Prague University of Economics and Business. This has been shown for a very long time by the competition VŠE Talent and VŠE Athlete. In them, representatives of the Prague University of Economics and Business evaluate those skills and achievements that do not stand out so much during their studies.
