About

The Event Centre VŠE have traditionally organized the VŠE Ball for you since 2010. Every year, more than 3,500 guests – students, graduates, employees, school partners and their friends – take part in the Ball. Together we create one of the largest balls in Europe. Just like in previous years, this year you can expect an amazing entertainment in the form of great music, dance and orchestra. At the same time, you can look forward to the performances of the best participants in the VŠE Talent competition and the announcement of the VŠE Athlete of the Year.

This year’s VŠE Ball will take you into a world where reality blends with the mystery of hidden identities. The atmosphere of masks and elegance will create a magical evening full of dance, music, and surprises. Behind the masks, you will have the chance to become anyone you wish and experience a night that will be remembered for its unique enchantment.

The theme of this year’s VŠE Ball is Masquerade Ball.

Orientation in Lucerna Palace

There are 3 halls where you can enjoy the VŠE ball. They are:

1. Grand Hall – the biggest
2. Music Bar – party zone
3. Restaurant – chill out zone

Connection between Grand Hall and Music Bar
There are two passages leading from the Grand Hall to the Music Bar, located on the first and second balconies of the Grand Hall in the left corner behind the stage.

Connection between Music Bar and Restaurant
The entrance to the restaurant can be found after going down a short stairs from the dressing room in the Music Bar.

7 PM The Gates Are Opening

8 PM Ceremonial opening of the VŠE Ball, introductory speech by the rector

8:05 PM VŠE Orchestra - concert and waltz for dancing

The VŠE Symphony Orchestra will play one piece to listen to and another to dance to.

 

8:15 PM Vladislav Brož's Big Band

The traditional VŠE Ball Big Band plays for listening and dancing. If you are not sure what dance is going to take place, at the VŠE Ball you have the advantage that the Big Band announces the dances in advance and there is no risk of faux paux.

8:15 PM Video Disco DJ Mirek Rais

Lucerna Music Bar

A great video disco where everyone will have a great time and will see all the clips for the music playing on the screen. We also have a cameraman at the Music Bar, so maybe you’ll be the star of the big screen while dancing 🙂

9:00 PM VŠE Talent – Introduction to the competition

The best three acts of talent will perform their art and then the winner will be announced.

12 AM Midnight Surprise by VŠE CREW (attempt to enter the Guinness World Records for the largest number of people dancing the “Macarena”)

The legendary VŠE CREW is once again preparing entertainment that the entire hall can join. Come take part and help create a record-breaking wave of the “Macarena” dance!

The night is still young, whoever wants can go to the Music Bar and dance the night away till 4:30 a.m.
